Eternal War
Foxhole’s War 126 has now officially claimed the title of the longest war ever fought on Able, cementing its place in the game’s history books. It has surpassed the previous record of 55.8 days set by War 100, and the community has begun referring to it as the “Eternal War” due to its seemingly endless duration. Over the course of this conflict, casualties have skyrocketed, shattering the 6 million mark—making it one of the bloodiest wars the region has ever seen.
In addition to its unprecedented length and staggering human cost, War 126 has also become the most nuclear war in Able’s history. While War 100 previously held the record with 6 nuclear strikes, current estimates suggest that War 126 may have doubled that number, further escalating the scale and intensity of the fighting. Entire regions have been scarred by repeated detonations, leaving behind irradiated battlefields and permanently altering strategic routes across the front.
The war has been marked by a number of prolonged and highly contested fronts, with some battles dragging on for days or even weeks without either side gaining a decisive advantage. One particularly notable example is the fight for “Mox” in Marban Hollow, a key strategic location. Remarkably, the Wardens have held this position for nearly the entire war, losing it to Colonial forces for only a single day before reclaiming and fortifying it. This remarkable defense has turned “Mox” into both a symbol of Warden resilience and a frustration point for the Colonials.
Even with a somewhat-clear end in sight, War 126 continues to grind forward, rewriting the records of Able’s military history while leaving both factions exhausted, yet determined. Whether it will be remembered as a testament to endurance or a cautionary tale of attrition remains to be seen—but its impact on both sides is already undeniable.
